Vanbrugh Quartet Weekend
Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st October
Musical Director – Keith Pascoe
The Vanbrugh Quartet and Ballymaloe House are both very Irish institutions, and it is with great excitement we announce the début of a weekend mini-fest of classical chamber music and classic dishes to take place 30th and 31st October 2010. With the opening of the new Grain Store concert hall at Ballymaloe, the synthesis of the highest quality of food and music will be unrivalled.
For this weekend the Vanbrugh at Ballymaloe collaboration will present music to whet the appetite and food that will enhance the enjoyment of the music. The concept has in mind those who may want to escape the Cork Jazz Weekend or take a break from the Wexford Festival Opera.
The weekend menu of music will offer a series of six one-hour concerts over the two days. In between these concerts there will be special menus to celebrate the fine cuisine of Ballymaloe and packages tailored to all tastes and pockets.
